These patients have low intelligence which poses challenges in daily life functioning (O'Leary et al., 2013). The man in the case study is highly susceptible to mental retardation owing to his age. According to Mrild et al., (2013), DS patients have 70% chances of developing dementia at the age of 50. Down syndrome is associated with several comorbidities such as Alzheimers disease, congenital heart defects, gastrointestinal problems, hypertension and unique spectrum of malignancies such as leukemia (Glasson et al., 2014). The man in the case study is also associated with type 1 diabetes. In this condition, the body fails to produce insulin due to autoimmune des truction of pancreatic beta cells. It results in high blood glucose level and ketoacidosis due to unusual fat burn. The symptoms of type 1 diabetes include, excess weight loss, polyuria, unusual thirst, prone to multiple infection, muscle cramps, blurred vision and slow healing of wounds (Wong-Rieger Rieger, 2013). They have the high risk of heart stroke, osteoporosis, thyroid, sexual dysfunction, kidney failure, neuropathy, skin disease and foot ulcer (Chiang et al., 2014). These factors make the management of the chronic illness more complex and challenging and increase the likelihood of poorer health outcomes. Patient with a presence of DS and diabetes have a significant effect on mental health and social well-being due to dual challenges. Intellectual disability prevents them from engaging in health-promoting activities. They fail to adhere to medication therapy, sustain dietary restrictions, recognize early symptoms, manage weight and seek medical attention. (Haas et al., 2013 ) highlighted that depression, conduct disorder, and obsessive compulsion disorder is highly prominent in patients with chronic illnesses. Thus a targeted strategy is essential to support their habilitation at home and involve them in health promoting activities. The ICF is a framework of World Health Organization (WHO), which helps to obtain organized information on functioning and disability based on the principles of primary health. It is essential for health and well-being of such patient. The framework determines an impact of the interaction of health and disability in an individual (Selb et al., 2015). The three core domains of this framework to determine the level of disability are functional impairment, activity limitation, and participation restrictions." It also includes activity and participation which relates to communication skills, mobility, and awareness about disease, self-care and others (Mller, 2014). As evident from the case study, this man is still physically active as he regularly attends and participates in the disability program five days a week. He is satisfied with the staff workers. The community programs are targeted to increase self-care in patients. Their primary goal is to support and help an individual develop t he potential to participate in all the domains of life (Taggart et al., 2013). Care providers face challenges in teaching the patient to deal with functional impairment. Since he has the moderate intellectual disability, it is not feasible for him to perform daily activities related to shopping, billing, and budgetary management. His cognitive impairment hampers his problem solving skills. It is also challenging for him to adhere to medication management, diet restriction, and weight management. The combination of these factors has limited his social and physical activity which exacerbated his disability. These factors have constrained his ability to participate in health affirming activities. The caregivers must be well informed of the man's health, and well-being is entirely dependent on their knowledge and perception. Insulin therapy is essential for treating type diabetes mellitus and control blood glucose level in the man (American Diabetes Association 2013). The insulin intake can be through injection or oral method. Oral medication for type 1 diabetes include pramlintide to minimize blood sugar rise, and angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitorsto control blood pressure and cholesterol lowering drugs (Chiang et al., 2014). It is necessary to monitor that the man adheres to this medication. (Ly et al., 2013) recommends that care management for type 1 diabetes should primarily include insulin intake, regular exercise, low carbohydrates, regular monitoring of BSL, and mainten ance of healthy weight. It is recommended by the American Diabetes Association that blood sugar level (BSL) monitoring is critical for the patient of diabetes (Haas et al., 2013). The blood sugar level before meals should be between 70 and 130 mg/dL and after meal numbers should not exceed 180 mg/dL. As a nurse, I would implement this intervention strategy for the man in the case study. It is evident from the research paper American Diabetes Association, (2013) that helping patients to develop goods communication, and social skills will assist in carrying independent activities. I will use a holistic and Person-centered care to manage chronic illness and associated disability in the man. Referral services such as arranging for the psychologist, physiotherapist, dietician, the social worker is necessary for effective management of chronic illness (Wilkinson et al., 2015). It will help the man in addressing his physical, mental health issues. It will also assist in decreasing the comorbidities. The primary goal is to teach man about the self-monitoring of glucose. I would educate the man in a simple language about the consequences of nonadherence to medications, balanced diet, and weight management. At every visit, I would reinforce the information by repeating the relevant points. It is necessary because his cognitive impairment will disturb him in retaining information. Also well-informed patients highly participate in self-care activities. I would develop a routine for proper scheduling of eye check up and physical exam, exercises, walking, diet plan, and glucose monitoring. On a timely basis, I would evaluate the changes in the man. Since he is central to the success of the intervention program, I will include him in every decision. The strategies that I am going to use are highly likely to evoke positive health outcomes since they are based on the research evidence. Experience of a liturgical worship service. a. Briefly describe the service event by event. On Sunday 15 August 2010 I went to the Lutheran Church with one of my colleagues. He is the Reverend of that specific Lutheran Church. The service began with opening sentences from Psalm 124: If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, let Israel now say. The Reverend then followed by saying The Lord be with you. This was followed by a prayer of confession and then by a biblical word of comfort and an absolution. In Liturgical worship the service moves from adoration to confession to absolution to commission. They do everything in a fitting and orderly way. H ymns of praise and adoration are used to highlight the greatness and glory of God, not the worshipers thoughts or feelings about God. Briefly describe the service event by event. On Sunday 22 August 2010 I went to the Reformed Church with my Mother in Mokopane (Potgietersrus). First it is interesting to note that in the Reformed Church the organ plays the most important part before the service commences. The organ is the only instrument used to create worship and praise. Also very interesting is the pulpit in the middle front of the church with the elderly and the deacons sitting on each side of the pulpit. The deacons come in first, then the elderly together with the Reverend. Before he gets onto the pulpit, he first prays at the foot of the pulpit. The service begins with one of the elderly blessing the Reverend. The Reverend then follows by giving the Opening Prayer. This was followed by a song from their hymn books, consisting of Psalms and Songs. Then everybody says out loud the Apostles Creed and the Ten Commandments. Then the collection of Alms takes place. Before the Reverend starts his sermon, he gives a lesson on the Scripture that he is going to us e for the day. The Reformed Church uses the Old Testament more than the New Testament. Again he then prays before he commences with the sermon and then a prayer. Experience of a contemporary worship service. a. Briefly describe the service event by event. On Sunday 29 August 2010 I attended my own Church (Living Word Church) in Brummeria. Our Church starts with the Pastor welcoming everybody in the building. Then the praise and worship starts with a band and a lead worshipper. Our music is gospel and contemporary Christian songs that stirs the emotions and prepares the heart for the sermon. We sing first the praise songs and then the worship songs. Usually the praise songs speaks about revival and renewal, stressing the need for God to visit His people in power, such as Lord, Send a Revival or Nothing but the Blood of Jesus. There is singing, clapping, and shouting praises to God. Then we go over to the worship songs that prepare us for a connection with Jesus and the Holy Spirit. During the worship people might lie on their faces or bow down seeking the face of God. Others will dance before God seeking to have a personal relationship with God, getting into the Holy of Holiest. We all kn ow that praise and worship is very important, but the sermon is actually the main event for the day. The congregation then hears an evangelistic message calling everyone present to get saved or sin and redemption. After the sermon the Pastor will pray and then start with the call for unbelievers in the worship service to make a personal decision to follow Jesus Christ. The invitation is sometimes lengthy in order to allow unbelievers to recognize their need of Jesus Christ. b. Discuss how it facilitated worship as revelation and response. Our Church uses informal methods that speak about exuberance, zeal and sometimes aggressive preaching, but it is still generally planned and structured. Let us first look at the style of worship: Parrett (Parrett 2008:22) says the following: There is no such thing as the correct style, whether traditional, contemporary, mystical, or liturgical. All our styles of worship must be submitted to the test of substance is God plainly revealed through the elements of worship, and are the worshippers assisted in response to Him? Our worship must be God-focused and Christ-centred! It must include elements of revelation and response that are Biblically informed and Biblically faithful (Parrett 2008:23). The liturgical worship service for me has got many strong points. The formal structure takes the congregation to God because He is worthy to be praised in majesty and honour. Magnifying Gods transcendence brings to mind in the worshiper a sense of amazement. Their Scripture reading enfolds the liturgical service more than it does any other worship style. The only thing that bothers me is the fact that the God who is worshipped in the liturgical service seems unapproachable. Although I grew up in The Reformed Church, the traditional worship service for me is somewhat predictable and boring, but it will always hold a special place in my heart. Why do I say that it is predictable and boring? The service is formal and for that reason you sometimes struggle to warm your heart for whats to come. But yes, they worship God who is Great and Good, Holy and Helpful. The problem with traditional worship service is the fact that the young believers think this style is boring. Contemporary worship service makes it almost impossible to sit still. The music excites you and you just want to worship God. Everything is excellent, the only problem that I experience is that Christians begin to think that the only way to please God is to be saved and baptized, even if they have already done so before. So often people also feel guilty of not serving God every minute of the day. It impacted my understanding of worship in the following way: Diverse cultural backgrounds and personality types make it highly unlikely that one worship style will fit all people. What seems genuine and meaningful to some strikes others as false and blasphemous. Worship styles isnt really the primary issue, it is absolute essential that the Church keep God as the subject of worship since to be Christian means to believe that God revealed in Jesus Christ is everything to us, Creator, Provider and Sustainer. We must always remember that God has called us to be His people and that our ability to respond to that call in worship is totally the gift of Gods grace. I think the only aim is to please God, whether by adoration and praise, prayer and proclamation, confessions and offerings, thanksgivings and commitment, or all these actions combined. b. Indicate how you believe your church could broaden its understanding and practice of worship. Dawn (1995:124) gives the following on what people want and need: My point is that people want worship to be more meaningful, but they often need careful instruction to make it so. Children, teenagers, young adults, senior citizens all will gladly receive more depth, especially because so much is our world is superficial and trival or else deep in a way that is painful and tragic. Here are a few ideas on how the Church should broaden its understanding and practice of worship: First of all, there can be no worship if we dont deal with our inner self. All Christians are supposed to be faithful, however, some do have a continuous struggle with doubt. The Churches must remember, good worship heals a sinful, selfish congregation and enables it to assume the burden of discipleship. Worship fosters the attitudes and convictions that enable people to worship. The churchs calling is to bring people to an awareness of the true nature of the things that steals our spiritual energy and to provide them with appropriate nourishment (food for the soul). Worship leaders facilitate worship by guiding people in the use of their senses and thoughts, they must also clear away the obstacles and distractions that hinder focused prayer and meditation. We should remember that services of worship are constructed by human beings, and like all things, they deteriorate and need renewal from time to time. Before Christians set about renewing their Churches and reforming their worship , they need to over think the implications of the fact that they have no power to save themselves, only God has that power. A congregation that fails to insist on the very highest standards in its worship is demonstrating not charity, but blasphemy. No Christian community should ever even think of offering God anything but the best of which it is capable (Frankforter 2001:146). CONCLUSION I have reflected on three worship services, discussed how it facilitated worship as revelation and response and tried to broaden my understanding and practice of worship. We should always remember, the success of worship is not measured by its entertainment values, nor is its success the sole responsibility of the leaders. We the Church should never sit passively waiting for worship to happen, we must practice the discipline of prayer and meditation. They did the job law enforcement simply could not do. Lives were saved. Robberies were prevented. Homes and businesses were defended and left intact, all thanks to the Second Amendment to our constitutional, the right to keep and bear arms. Americans have made it clear they reject most government intrusions on their basic civil rights, including the right of gun ownership. A comparison of the magazine articles by John Pilger and Tony Parsons, analysing the way they appeal to different audiences and the effect of the language on behaviour and opinion. John Pilgeri s article ‘The Man With No Namei appeared in the ‘New Statesmeni in June 1991. The magazine is left wing, and aimed at the middle and upper classes of society. I believe that Pilgeri s article is suited for reader of a higher intellect, and is perfect for the ‘New Statesmeni. The magazine promotes its ideas in such a way that one tends to think that it is reliable source of information. Tony Parsonsi article ‘Beggars Of Britaini appeared in ‘Arenai in October 1991. The magazine is aimed at young people probably in their teens or twenties. I believe that Parsonsi article is suitable for my own age group, which is of the age fifteen to twenty years old. The magazine itself is glossy and full of text and pictures that blend in. It would have been helpful if the articles provided were in there original form. Graphics are generally very useful for promoting a idea, in addition to the written language. ‘Arenai may well provide graphics but since I have not seen a original copy and nor is there one in my local newsagents I am unable to discuss the articlei s fully. The ‘New Statesmeni does not have the style of graphics that is present in ‘Arenai. It is considered as a more formal magazine and depends much less on sensation compared with ‘Arenai. Text for some is difficult to analyse whereas if it is accompanies with illustrations, it sets the tone of the article. Language with gimmicks is fine for all but new statesmen generally promote more depth in thought without the â€Å"extras†. One could compare arena and the new statesman with a story that one might either see on television or hear on the radio. The television and pictures and illustrations set the scene the scene for the mind to analyse. The radio and the new statesmen just use text. The mind has to provide its own imagery and in some ways I believe this is better and fairer. The examiner has provided the two articles in exact same font and style. I am not convinced that this makes a fair comparison between the two magazines. We can judge language and readability but possibly not impact on the reader. The tone of both articles is rather personal because in ‘Beggars Of Britaini Tony Parsons uses much offensive personal writing, while John Pilger writes about his personal story. Both articles are emotional in more ways then one. Pilger is emotional in the way he talks about his friendship with the homeless man. Parsons on the other hand hurls abuse at the way beggars get their money and how they appeal to most peoples sympathetic side. â€Å"†¦ And gypsy beggars who try to stuff a ratty flower into your buttonhole with some sentimental line – ‘for the children coos some obese hag† Pilger talks about making a friendship with this homeless man. Parsons shows his personal view on the matter of beggars. Parsonsi article is colloquial because he seems to be talking directly to you with streetwise language. â€Å"†¦. hey-you-guys-letis-catch-crabs† Pilger is somewhat more formal in his approach. † I have seen him nodding as if he is in silent discussion with himself† Both articles are written in first person. Both articles are addressed directly to the reader. This creates an individual effect, as if the writer is writing directly to you. This makes you be more involved in the article, rather the normal news, report the facts and doni t report emotionally. Parsoni s article is written from the writeri s point of view you either agree, or disagree. While Pilger talks about his friendship with a homeless man. Parsonsiarticle was published in ‘Arenai , a magazine aimed at a younger audience and it shows the whole structure and language is different. Most young people have short attention spans but in Parsonsi his article brings up the subject of beggars straight away, with strong obscene language making people read the article. â€Å"†¦ been happier for us to sleep in a shoebox full of shit†This is effective for young people with short attention spans. As I said earlier in the essay ‘Arenai is aimed at the younger generation. Pilgeri s article was published in ‘New Statesmeni a magazine aimed at middle and upper classes. Pilger writes a touching story of a build up of a relationship with a homeless man, ‘The Man With No Namei. Pilger builds up his article with a story and telling the reader the facts. The reader learns about the plight of the homeless people while telling the story of a typical homeless man. â€Å"My friend is typical in that he bears the familiar scars of the homelessness† The article is aimed at the more mature reader, who would be touched by Pilgeri s generous nature, and the predicament of the homeless man. So this is perfectly in place in the ‘New Statesmeni mature readers to read a mature article. Both articles use Standard English. I regard â€Å"Beggars of Britain† use of English really standard. While â€Å"The Man With No Name† is high Standard English. With but a few complicating words for a teenage reader. â€Å"such as a furtiveness† â€Å"sporadic, shallow joviality† Some of these words are considerably complex for an immature reader. The target audience for both publications is perfectly suited in their respective magazines. Parsons writes for a younger audience and writes just how the younger audiences like it. While Pilger writes for a matured audience and the audience like the way it is written. Both article style and structure are catered for different audiences. Pilgeri s article oozes aged style for â€Å"New Statesmen† audience. His story was a touching emotional parable, a parable which makes the reader think differently about the subject of homelessness. Parsonsi article has a different type of style a more risqui style; the younger audience may start to show malevolence towards beggars the same type that Parsonsi shares. â€Å"These people disgusted me† Both journalists are highly literate, but I think Parsonsi article does not do him justice. I imagine that Parsonsi article was not written for it high literacy level, but written by Parsonsi passion. His hatred of beggars dictated this article. Pilgeri s article was delicately written and written excellently. The story was written with the right balance of everything fifty- percent story and fifty- percent facts. â€Å"He had his usual tweed jacket and was leaning against the hedge† This extract from Pilgeri s article is a story paragraph. â€Å"With maximum publicity, the government allocated three hundred million for ‘rough sleepersi † This extract from Pilgeri s article is a fact paragraph. Parsonsi article is mostly abuse towards beggars, although he does feel genuine sympathy towards the real beggars. â€Å"In Africa you see beggars with deformed legs crawling, literally crawling† â€Å"Begging defaces the city, degrades the spirit† Parsonsi article is mostly just his private opinion on beggars rather then a serious article. Both articles were written in ninety ninety-one. Both and articles were respectively published in ‘Arenai and ‘New Statesmani. Gender Role Effects in The Yellow Wallpaper Essay Charlotte Perkins Gilman was a feminist writer who wrote â€Å"The Yellow Wallpaper† in the 1890’s. During this time period the woman were expected to keep the house clean, care for their children, and listen to their husbands. The men were expected to work a job and be the head of a household. The story narrates a woman’s severe depression which she thinks is linked to the yellow wallpaper. Charlotte Gilman experienced depression in her life and it inspired her to write â€Å"The Yellow Wallpaper. † The short story is based on a woman, not given a name in the text, who is very dependent on her husband. The narrator plays a gender role that is degraded by her successful husband, who is a doctor, because she is a female. John ignores his wife’s accusations with the wallpaper and looks down on the fact that she cannot fulfill her duty as a woman, mother, or wife by treating and calling her childish names. Throughout the whole story the narrator is trying to tell her husband that she gets a weird vibe from the house and that the yellow wallpaper is driving her insane in the bedroom she stays in. The narrator states, â€Å"That spoils my ghostliness, I am afraid, but I don’t care- there is something strange about the house- I can feel it† (677). John ignores this and it angers her. Critic Davison writes, â€Å"With regard to her case, the narrator confides, â€Å"John does not know how much I really suffer. He knows there is no reason to suffer, and that satisfies him† (56). John tells her that she has a temporary nervous depression and a slight hysterical tendency. He says that she just needs rest, and she will be fine. She feels she cannot do anything about it because he is not only a doctor but her husband, so she just goes on with the days living in the mansion. As a female she is supposed to respect the man of the house and have little say so. Gilman writes, â€Å"My brother is also a physician, and also of high standing, and he says the same thing† (677). With two of her family members telling her this she feels like an unsuccessful woman. She feels as if John is turning her whole family against her and her emotions. John never listens to anything his wife has to say to him. This is an example of how women feel their opinion or voice never mattered in the 1890’s. The wife goes into great detail describing the wallpaper as if someone was really seeing it in their mind as they read the story. The paint and paper look as if a boy’s school had used it. It is stripped off- the paper- in great patches all around the head of my bed, about as far as I can reach, and in a great place on the other side of the room low down. I never saw a worse paper in my life. One of those sprawling, flamboyant patterns committing every artistic sin. It is dull enough to confuse the eye in following, pronounced enough to constantly irritate and provoke study, and when you follow the lame uncertain curves for a little distance they suddenly commit suicide- plunge off at outrageous angles, destroy themselves in unheard-of contradictions. The color is repellent, almost revolting: a smouldering unclean yellow, strangely faded by the slow-turning sunlight. It is a dull yet lurid orange in some places, a sickly sulphur tint in others (678). This description of the wallpaper obviously shows that there is something wrong with her mentally. It also shows the reader how she really feels about it and how it is affecting her, making her go insane. The narrator states, â€Å"It is stripped off- the paper- in great patches all around the head of my bed† (678). This can imply how she feels about her husband and family. They are always telling her nothing is wrong and ignore any thoughts she may have. Maybe she is tired of getting stripped down in a negative way from them such as; being ignored, treated like a child, and being locked up in the bedroom. She states, â€Å"The paper is dull enough to confuse the eye† (678). This description could imply that no one sees the paper the way she does. John might not see the crawling women because he does not have to stare at it all day every day. The description shows the emotions and describes the way the wife really feels about her condition. She uses language such as constantly irritates and provokes study, the uncertain curves commit suicide, it plunges off at outrageous angles, and destroys themselves in unheard- of contradictions suggests that she has dark thoughts of suicide or death (678). The wife’s description of the wallpaper and room which it is in makes it seem like she lives the life of a prisoner unable to escape the yellow wallpaper. The criticism of Wang states, â€Å"The narrator lives a life like a prisoner who is being gazed and observed all the time† (53). The observers of the narrator are her husband and her nurse. This quote implies that she is literally locked up all day in one room suffering from more depression as the days move forward. Another way John puts his wife down as a female is calling her names and acting like she is a baby. John states, â€Å"What is it, little girl?† (682). It is significant that he would call her that because she is his wife and they have a little child together. Gilman writes, â€Å"Then he took me in his arms and called me a blessed little goose, and said he would go down to the cellar, if I wished, and have it whitewashed into the bargain† (679). He acts as if he is controlling of her being her father in a way instead of a husband. He read to her until she got tired and that is what a father would do for his child. The adjective little also adds power to the quote because it suggests that she has no say- so as if she was his child. These words John calls her makes her refer back to her childhood. She was frightened from her childhood and this could add more agitation to her mental sickness. This is ironic because Gilman writes, â€Å"It was a nursery first, and then playroom and gymnasium, I should judge, for the windows are barred for little children, and there are rings and things in the walls† (678). All these things imply that she is stuck in a childhood state that she cannot escape to be the wife and mother she wishes to be. The narrator is not mentally able to fulfill the duties a mother was expected to do in the 1890’s. She is unable to watch and take care of her child as a mother. The wife states, â€Å"It is fortunate Mary is so good with the baby†¦Such a dear baby!† (678). Mary is a housekeeper/nurse who watches her and takes care of her child. The narrator states, â€Å"And yet I cannot be with him, it makes me so nervous† (678). This makes her feel as if she failed her role as a female because she was not able to perform the most common trait known to a woman. She is also not able to clean, cook, and keep the house up as a woman is supposed to do. She has to get Mary to do all of this for her. This could be another reason that makes her think something is really wrong with her. She is John’s wife but the things he calls her implies that she is not completing the role of a wife; therefore John treats her like a child. â€Å"They Yellow Wallpaper† is a confusing story with a horror vibe to it. Being a female, the wife feels that she is unable to escape the name calling, the portrayal of a child, and her husband. Her biggest problem is not being able to get away from the wallpaper that causes her great depression. John claims there is nothing wrong with her throughout the whole story because she has no symptoms of any sickness. Her family members even tell her that nothing is wrong and she feels that she cannot do anything for herself. The Yellow Wallpaper is an object the narrator does not escape causing her to go insane, be depressed, and fail at the role of a female during the 1890’s. The initial budget for this film stood at 100, million dollars, however, it went on to cost approximately 278 million dollars, before its release. This paper is an analysis of the movie Tourism. It explains the various thematic connotations of the movie, and this is in regard to tourism. The movie To urism is one of the best movies that depict the challenges the factors that can promote tourism within a state or region. Background Information: In this movie, Angelina Jolie acts as Elise Clifton Ward, and she is being followed and monitored by the French police. This police force is working together with the Scotland Yard department, under the supervision and direction of Inspector John Acheson. Acheson has the responsibility of hunting Alexander Pearce, a tax fraudster, who managed to evade over 744 million pounds, in taxes, and he has altered his face, through plastic surgery. Alexander Pearce is aware of the plot, to use Elise Clifton to nail him, and he thus instructs her to pick any man in a train, who resembles him, so that they may mislead the police[2]. This is in a secret letter written to Elise, who later burns it. In the train, Elise Clifton manages to select Frank Tupelo, who is an American tourist. Tupelo is a mathematics teacher, who teaches in a community college, situated in Wisconsin. Elise Clifton manages to start a romance with Tupelo, just in a bid to fool the police that he is Alexander Pearce. Meanwhile, the police manage to get the ashes, and retrieve the information written in it. On the other hand, a police informer, who is not aware of the ruse, manages to inform Reginald Shaw on the location of Pearce, upon sitting Elisa, with a man in Venice. The man under consideration is John Acheson. Reginald Shaw is the person whom Pearce stole some 2.3 billion dollars. Elsie further invites Frank to accompany her in her suite, in the Hotel at Venice. Alexander Pearce manages to leave another instruction to Elise, so that she should attend a ball. Elsie runs away from Frank, who in turn is being chased by the men of Reginald Shaw. While trying to escape, Frank is arrested and detained by the police force of Italy, and this is for purposes of protecting him from the men of Shaw[3]. It is important to denote that Reginald Shaw was not aware of the burnt ruse, which Pearce commanded Elsie to look for a person whom she could use to fool the police. However, Frank is betrayed by a corrupt police officer, who is motivated by the money that Reginald Shaw is offering, and he betrays him. However, Elsie manages to rescue Frank, and she gives him money so that she may escape to America. The movie ends, when Elsie explains to Frank that she loves two men, Pearce and, and himself. However, it later appears that Alexander Pearce is the same person as Frank Tupelo. Analysis: Tourism and violence are the major themes depicted in this movie. Tourism is depicted when Frank Tupelo, who is actually Alexander Pearce manages to travel to Venice, as a tourist. One of the important infrastructures that can ensure the success of tourism in a particular region is the development of a good transportation system[4]. This includes a good road network, an efficient water transportation system, and good security. There is also a need of having good hotels that serves the delicacies of the locals, and also of the foreigners. While looking at the movie, it is important to denote that Venice has an efficient transportation system. For example, the city is connected with Paris, via an electronic train. This is an efficient mode of transportation, mainly because tourists are able to easily access the city. Some of the leading tourist destinations have an efficient transportation system. Cities such as Rome, Istanbul, Berlin, London, have an efficient transportation system which plays a role in transporting tourists in various destinations and locations around the city. The movie depicts a water transportation which is the major tourism attraction in the city[5]. Tourists are always attracted to natural scenes, such as the waterways, which are greatly depicted in the movie. The waterways are seen when the corrupt Italian detective is able to take Frank Tupelo to Reginald Shaw, the person whom Alexander Pearce was able to swindle the money[6]. Furthermore, there is a boat chase, involving the men of Reginald Shaw, and Elisa Clifton, who came to rescue Frank Tupelo. This is an important advertisement for the city of Venice. A country such as Egypt has managed to utilize its historic pyramids, and initiated measures aimed at attracting tourists at the site. This is through movies that depict the pyramids. Furthermore, the movie manages to depict the traditional boats used by the people of Venice, that is, the gondola. Elisa and Frank used the gondola to run away from the men of Reginald Shaw. Indigenous activities play a great role in attracting tourists to any given location or city. Through the use of the gondola, producers of this movie are able to depict a traditional method that the people of Venice are using for transportation. From this movie, we can also denote that Venice is a city that is car-free. This is because while Elisa and Frank were in Venice, they mostly relied on the waterways, as a form of transport[7]. This normally gives a new experience to tourists, wishing to visit and experience such natural sites. Furthermore, the hospitality industry of Venice is good. The movie depicts very c lassy hotels, such as Hotel Daniele, and Hotel Reginae. For tourism to prosper there is a need of a good and efficient hospitality industry that offers high quality services and products. The services offered at these hotels were of high quality, and good. Take for example the hotel where Elias and Frank Tupelo stayed. The hotel had good sceneries, the rooms were superb, and the customer service was good. This is an indication that the hospitality industry in Venice is of high quality, and good[8]. Without the existence of a good hospitality industry, then chances are high that the city under consideration would not manage to attract a high number of tourists. This is the reason the hospitality industry has developed the Michelin guide, whose aim and objective is to rate restaurants for purposes of ensuring that they provide high value services. The Michelin guide, normally rates restaurants and hotels, by giving them stars, the highest being three and the lowest is one. A hotel industry that achieves a three star rating is the best, and it attracts numerous customers. Tourists normally like to visit such kind of hotels, for purposes of experiencing their services, an d enjoying a stay in the region they visit. The producers of this movie are able to depict such kind of hotels, and restaurants. Security is also another important factor, that plays a role in determining whether a city is worth visiting or not. Security of a region or state is important for tourism, and this is because tourists are concerned with their security. Acheson has the responsibility of hunting Alexander Pearce, a tax fraudster, who managed to evade over 744 million pounds, in taxes, and he has altered his face, through plastic surgery. Alexander Pearce is aware of the plot, to use Elise Clifton to nail him, and he thus instructs her to pick any man in a train, who resembles him, so that they may mislead the police[2]. This is in a secret letter written to Elise, who later burns it. In the train, Elise Clifton manages to select Frank Tupelo, who is an American tourist. Tupelo is a mathematics teacher, who teaches in a community college, situated in Wisconsin. Elise Clifton manages to start a romance with Tupelo, just in a bid to fool the police that he is Alexander Pearce. Meanwhile, the police manage to get the ashes, and retrieve the information written in it. On the other hand, a police informer, who is not aware of the ruse, manages to inform Reginald Shaw on the location of Pearce, upon sitting Elisa, with a man in Venice. The man under consideration is John Acheson. Reginald Shaw is the person whom Pearce stole some 2.3 billion dollars. Elsie further invites Frank to accompany her in her suite, in the Hotel at Venice. Alexander Pearce manages to leave another instruction to Elise, so that she should attend a ball. Elsie runs away from Frank, who in turn is being chased by the men of Reginald Shaw. While trying to escape, Frank is arrested and detained by the police force of Italy, and this is for purposes of protecting him from the men of Shaw[3]. It is important to denote that Reginald Shaw was not aware of the burnt ruse, which Pearce commanded Elsie to look for a person whom she could use to fool the police. However, Frank is betrayed by a corrupt police officer, who is motivated by the money that Reginald Shaw is offering, and he betrays him. However, Elsie manages to rescue Frank, and she gives him money so that she may escape to America. The movie ends, when Elsie explains to Frank that she loves two men, Pearce and, and himself. However, it later appears that Alexander Pearce is the same person as Frank Tupelo. Analysis: Tourism and violence are the major themes depicted in this movie. Tourism is depicted when Frank Tupelo, who is actually Alexander Pearce manages to travel to Venice, as a tourist. One of the important infrastructures that can ensure the success of tourism in a particular region is the development of a good transportation system[4]. This includes a good road network, an efficient water transportation system, and good security. There is also a need of having good hotels that serves the delicacies of the locals, and also of the foreigners. While looking at the movie, it is important to denote that Venice has an efficient transportation system. For example, the city is connected with Paris, via an electronic train. This is an efficient mode of transportation, mainly because tourists are able to easily access the city. Some of the leading tourist destinations have an efficient transportation system. Cities such as Rome, Istanbul, Berlin, London, have an efficient transportation system which plays a role in transporting tourists in various destinations and locations around the city. The movie depicts a water transportation which is the major tourism attraction in the city[5]. Tourists are always attracted to natural scenes, such as the waterways, which are greatly depicted in the movie. The waterways are seen when the corrupt Italian detective is able to take Frank Tupelo to Reginald Shaw, the person whom Alexander Pearce was able to swindle the money[6]. Furthermore, there is a boat chase, involving the men of Reginald Shaw, and Elisa Clifton, who came to rescue Frank Tupelo. This is an important advertisement for the city of Venice. A country such as Egypt has managed to utilize its historic pyramids, and initiated measures aimed at attracting tourists at the site. This is through movies that depict the pyramids. Furthermore, the movie manages to depict the traditional boats used by the people of Venice, that is, the gondola. Elisa and Frank used the gondola to run away from the men of Reginald Shaw. Indigenous activities play a great role in attracting tourists to any given location or city. Through the use of the gondola, producers of this movie are able to depict a traditional method that the people of Venice are using for transportation. From this movie, we can also denote that Venice is a city that is car-free. This is because while Elisa and Frank were in Venice, they mostly relied on the waterways, as a form of transport[7]. This normally gives a new experience to tourists, wishing to visit and experience such natural sites. Furthermore, the hospitality industry of Venice is good. The movie depicts very c lassy hotels, such as Hotel Daniele, and Hotel Reginae. For tourism to prosper there is a need of a good and efficient hospitality industry that offers high quality services and products. The services offered at these hotels were of high quality, and good. Take for example the hotel where Elias and Frank Tupelo stayed. The hotel had good sceneries, the rooms were superb, and the customer service was good. This is an indication that the hospitality industry in Venice is of high quality, and good[8]. Without the existence of a good hospitality industry, then chances are high that the city under consideration would not manage to attract a high number of tourists. This is the reason the hospitality industry has developed the Michelin guide, whose aim and objective is to rate restaurants for purposes of ensuring that they provide high value services. The Michelin guide, normally rates restaurants and hotels, by giving them stars, the highest being three and the lowest is one. A hotel industry that achieves a three star rating is the best, and it attracts numerous customers. Tourists normally like to visit such kind of hotels, for purposes of experiencing their services, an d enjoying a stay in the region they visit. The producers of this movie are able to depict such kind of hotels, and restaurants. Security is also another important factor, that plays a role in determining whether a city is worth visiting or not. In this movie, there is a lot of violence, specifically directed, to the tourist, Frank Tupelo, and Elisa Clifton. However, the city itself is safe and secure, and this is seen through the numerous patrols by the police force, depicted in the streets of Venice. For example, we are able to see police officers moving to the rescue of Frank Tupelo, when he was being chased by the men of Reginald Shaw, at the Hotel Daniele[9]. The presence of a police patrols, is a sure sign that the state or region under consideration is secure. Security of a region or state is important for tourism, and this is because tourists are concerned with their security. They will never visit a region that is insecure, or is a threat to their security. This is the reason; the Egyptian tourism industry faced a dow nward spiral during the Arab spring. The country was viewed as insecure, and not fit for visiting. Conclusion: In as much as this movie is filled with violence, it promotes the tourism industry of the city of Venice. The first issue that we note in this movie is the transportation system of the city of Venice, which is connected to Paris, via a train, and it has waterways, which are serviced by the Godolo. The Godolo are traditional boats used by the people of Venice, to help them in navigating the waterways depicted in the city. This is a major tourist attraction, and this is because it offers a good experience to visitors, visiting the region. In fact, this is better depicted when many people are seen at the ports of the city, seeking to board the Godolo. The city has a good hospitality industry that can help in facilitating the manner which tourists can spend their time in the region.
